Erindale Triston
Eng/Irish Ch Erindale Triston *05.07.1974
By Erindale O’Leary/Ch E. Grand Duchess.
Grey brindle. He and his litter sister Tasha came as a bit of a shock as babies to realize they were “Woolie” coated. A FIRST for us. A very strange fault to get your head round initially and such a GLARING one! Even as a very young puppy Triston was undoubtedly outstanding and I don’t mean due to his coat! A lot of heart searching went on here and in the end due to his otherwise undeniable virtue and potential promise, he was kept. His sister was kept for a time, very shapely, pretty girl, later went out to Italy. If you looked past his coat, here was a dog of great quality and style and immense merit, perfectly balanced with sound conformation. Tall, well boned, great feet and front legs into a wonderful front assembly, long strong neck with perfect set and long back, deep chest and good tuck up, level bite, not scissor, very well angulated rear, super quality in head and a very eye catching hound with size, masculinity yet elegant with great “Presence” .Contours of which flowed and perfectly sculptured. Long time maturing and developing but his frame was there from the start. Despite the obvious fault he had he was a hit in the show ring and became a big success as a youngster. However, due to his “Star” qualities, I think he was wrapped up in cotton wool a bit too much and could have been a “Hardier” dog than he was….all be it for me to criticize such an outstanding hound that achieved so much! Also due to the fact he was shown more than most, I feel he lost out in some ways and dampened his “Spirit” a little compared to his kennel mates. He then met with a nasty accident where he was injured and sciatic nerve severely damaged, he was off his legs for quite a time but despite all the odds, did make it back after a lot of effort and painstaking work, returned to the ring where his success continued. He did however have spells where he would short stride on his affected leg when tired or had been sitting around for long periods i.e.: traveling but non the less his achievements were credible indeed, winning 20 CC’s, a very successful show dog . A really loyal and loving fellow and a truly worthy sire . A very special and splendid hound. Progeny include E. Trident of Corniman. Int Ch E. Toledo Prince. Aust Ch E. Trader Prince , Ch E. Erindale Triston
the most well known dog of the Erindale kennel
Erindale Mollie * 2nd Oct 1974
By Erindale O’Leary/Brid of Ballytobin.
Red brindle, smaller cast, good rib and solid bodied, neat and sound, pretty head Good front with width too, little straight in stifle but true . She was kept and had only one litter, two pups but dog was stillborn, leaving Erindale Solo, born 9th Oct 1977 a bitch, red brindle, much longer cast than her mother and bigger, solid all through, good overall angulations, could have been better in front but a strong bitch and lovely personality, her sire was Brabyns Gog Ma Gog.
a young Erindale Mollie
Marnie of Erindale born 25th Jan 1976 bought in as puppy by It Ch Sulhamstead Master/ Clancy Maid of Dingley. Marnie was dark, tall and workmanlike, solid all through and good sort but a little high at rear. Strong, no frills but honest and tough, a more angulated front needed but functional enough. She produced Erindale Grand Master and USA Ch Erindale Beauchamp of Triston born29th Oct 1978, sired by Eng/Ir Ch Erindale Triston.
Marnie of Erindale
Erindale Grand Master, born 29.10.1978 (Erindale Triston x Erindale Marnie) was another favorite of mine, fabulous character, many of his sire’s virtues and his dams. Great proportions and conformation. He went to join the Brachan hounds at around 3 yrs.
Erindale Grand Master

Very much out of the same mould as her mother yet with distinctive overtones of her father and the qualities of both. .Litter sister to Saxon, Ch E. Phelan and E. Louise of Hydebeck. To stop here as no time or space to mention all hounds but briefly onto influences these breedings had on other kennels and breeding entities.
In Australia,
In USA and around the world the Erindale breeding has made a positive and valuable addition to breeding lines.
In many avenues you’ll find them popping up, for instance, up yonder behind Ch Caredig Jupiter you’ll find Erindale Tasha sitting there having been bred up on.
I cannot mention all as the list is long but I have tried to outline the “Core” if you like.
